Sarah is a designer and artist who earned her BFA in Industrial Design from MassArt. Her work is a direct reflection of her upbringing in the rural hilltowns of Western Massachusetts, capturing a connection to the outdoors. She often builds her pieces using salvaged wood to give old timbers a second life, adding a sense of history and character to her work. Whether she is painting or drawing, she leans into a relaxed and gestural style. She prefers the energy of a sketch over a polished finish to better capture the beautiful imperfections of the natural world.
